Flow Control at Valve World Americas Expo

Houston, TX | June 7-8, 2023 | Booth # 1632

Key International is excited to have a booth at Valve World Americas Expo in Houston, TX, June 7-8, 2023! Valve World Americas is an exhibition and conference dedicated to industrial valves and related equipment. The event focuses on valve technology, valve applications, and the latest industry trends. Valve World Americas brings together key stakeholders such as valve companies, engineering, procurement and construction firms, and end-users in the flow control industry, providing a platform for knowledge-sharing, business development, and the exploration of new products and innovations.

We’re proud to demonstrate our CORA ultra-sanitary butterfly valves with attendees of the show. These CORA ultra-sanitary butterfly valves are used for the precise and accurate control of additives to base oil and gas. First, a quick overview of usage.

Additives

In most circumstances, additives make up approximately 30% of formulated oil’s volume. Additives are selected based on their ability to perform certain roles alongside a base oil in an application. By nature, additives either enhance new properties, suppress undesirable properties or impart completely new properties to the base oil. Some examples of additives include anti-wear, corrosion or rust inhibitors, viscosity improvement, anti-oxidants, metal deactivators, and more.

While there are a handful of options available in the market, none compare to the CORA ultra-sanitary butterfly valves offered by Key International.

Our CORA Valves

We offer a wide range of CORA valves that come in a variety of sizes and configurations with numerous applications. At this year’s show, we’ll be bringing several of our most popular models, including an 8” CORA Crusher, 4” and 16” CORA CV valves, and an 8” CORA RV valve. Let’s go into detail about each option.

CORA Crusher

The CORA Crusher does what its name suggests - and it does a good job of it. The Crusher is designed for the separation of lumped powders and oversized materials, offering several features that contribute to its effectiveness and usability.

It has a modular and compact construction, making it easy to integrate as a pre-breaker alongside a sieve, mill, or other equipment. Additionally, it improves product flow, enhancing overall process efficiency. The throughput range varies from 1,650 lbs./hour up to 6,500 lbs./hour, providing flexibility based on specific needs. It is suitable for Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Steam-in-Place (SIP) operations, facilitating easy cleaning and maintenance. The CORA Crusher comes in sizes from 4”-12” options to accommodate different equipment configurations.

CORA RV Ultra-Sanitary Butterfly Valve

The CORA RV butterfly valve uses a 180° oscillating multi-vane, 6-pocket disc that regulates feed and discharge rates for enhanced product flowability. An actuator controls the disc with multiple mounting configurations available to fit your needs. Sizes available include options from 3” up to 16”.

The CORA RV butterfly valve is the ideal unit for companies that require complete accuracy and reliability. Additives pass through 316L stainless steel and FDA food grade silicone that helps flowability and fits into FDA and USDA sanitary requirements.

CORA CV Ultra-Sanitary Butterfly Valve

Customers use the CORA CV ultra-sanitary butterfly valve for intercepting the flow of powders and granulates. The CV valve has an optional pneumatic actuator with a 90° double acting or spring return anodized aluminum body. The slender profile allows for weight and space savings in your operation.

With multiple mounting positions and available sizes from 3”-16”, the CORA CV ultra-sanitary butterfly valve is the ideal unit to easily interface with your specific equipment connections. Like our other CORA valves, the CV valve is also designed using stainless steel or Hastelloy construction that allows for improved flow regulation while maintaining FDA and USDA sanitary requirements.
